Welcome to the home of the 2nd International Rip Current Symposium, to be held in Sydney Australia from the 30th October to 1st November 2012 and hosted by Surf Life Saving Australia.

The symposium will bring together leading international researchers and experts to share knowledge of rip currents to enhance worldwide understanding of this natural hazard and to further the development of related science and public education strategies to reduce the incidence of drowning.
